He and his wife Louise helped translate the New Testament into the Cree language, and Kenny has served as President of the Cree School Board; Deputy Grand Chief of the Cree Nation of Mistissini; and Councillor of the Cree Nation of Mistissini. Ken Smid

Ken Smid grew up in the church, though only received Jesus Christ as his personal savior in June 2001 as a young adult. One night, as Ken knelt by his bed, he prayed that God would give him the gift of healing, and felt that God would one day call him into healing ministry. In January 2005, Ken and his wife Deborah came to Dominion Outreach Centre only to discover that it was a healing centre where God was using Bill and Gwen Prankard to raise up and train healing evangelists. Ken became a leader in the Walk-In Healing Clinic at it’s inception in September 2005 and became the Healing Clinic Director in January 2007. The Healing Clinic has had well over 1000 visits in the first 2 years, and has seen God’s healing power time and time again as hundreds of people are being healed in their bodies of incurable diseases and illnesses; are receiving Jesus; and are being filled with Holy Spirit.
