Downloading iTunes and Subscribing to the BPEA Podcast
You do not need an iPod to subscribe and listen to podcasts.
This Podcast is offered free of charge
If you own a Mac then chances are you already have iTunes installed as it comes preloaded on any Mac purchased within the last 5 years.
Downloading and Installing iTunes
(If you already have iTunes installed skip to the "Subscribing to the Podcast" step.)
1. Click on the following link to download iTunes. http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
2. Select the appropriate platform. (either Windows or Mac)
3. Uncheck the "email me" and "keep me updated" boxes.
4. Click on the download iTunes. Note you do not need to enter an email address to download iTunes.
5. Save the installer file to your desktop or any other place easily accessible.
6. after the file downloads, run the installer by double clicking it
7. Follow the instructions given by the installer to install the program.
a. Uncheck the options (to add iTunes & QuickTime to your desktop, default player, or automatically update) if you want.
Subscribing to the Podcast
1. Launch iTunes
2. If it's your first time running iTunes accept the license agreement and follow the setup instructions. (Note you do not need to have iTunes add MP3, AAC or WMA files. You also don't need iTunes keep your music folder organized if you do not wish.)
3. Say No to going to the iTunes Store.
4. Click the following link to bring up the BPEA Podcasts page in iTunes. http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=259008491
5. You may get a pop up which says "The webpage you are viewing is trying to close the tab." Go ahead and close it.
6. Click the subscribe button next to the BPEA Podcasts logo.
7. When iTunes asks you to confirm click subscribe.
8. "Downloads" will appear in the bar on the left under "STORE". Wait for the download to complete
9. Click on the podcasts section under library on the left of your screen.
10. Double click on "BPEA Podcasts" to download the episodes.
11. Again "Downloads" will appear in the bar on the left under "STORE".
12. Once the download is complete, click on the small triangle next to "BPEA Podcasts", and an episode list will drop down.
13. Once the episode has been downloaded double click on it to listen to it.
